Visiting Team Information
Welcome to Santa Barbara City College. The services available at all competitions are noted below and for any reason there is a special treatment please call ahead of time or send a note with the protocol and we will do our best to accommodate. All of our events are on campus but not all are close to the Athletic Training Facility. Baseball, Softball and Tennis are at Pershing Park on the other side of the campus. The AT staff will be present 1 hour prior to competition and 20 minutes post competition at this facility. If treatment is needed before or after the time we are available please come to the AT Facility. All other sports are in close proximity to the AT Facility. Our facility opens 2 hours prior to a home event and will close 30 minutes after an event.
All home events are covered by a Athletic Trainer. Student Athletic Trainer’s may also be assigned to an event to help with taping and hydration. Physician coverage will be provided at all home football games.
Our facilities and modalities are available for use by a certified Athletic Trainer. However, if you are sending a student or an athlete requests a particular treatment, please bring a note from the Certified Athletic Trainer for modality use. We ask that contact with the hosting athletic trainer be made if you have any special requests.
We will perform any taping or first aid care that is recommended, however, please provide all supplies needed with your athletes. During the event, your team will have access to emergency equipment and an AED as well as ice, water and cups/bottles will be provided. Below is our emergency action plan for your reference.
